We will be taking the time to come up with more ideas and opportunities for the new youth club year in September.

Youth club will be reopening on Friday 9th September; hope to see you there!

Logo for the Duke of Edinburgh's Award

Are you aged 14 or over and have thought about wanting a challenge and want it recognised. The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award could be for you.

The D of E is split into three tiers, Bronze, Silver, Gold. From the age of 14, applicants can start on their Bronze award which will include a skill, service, physical recreational activity and an expedition at the end. The award is set by the 10 guiding principles which are to make the award challenging and fun, personalised and committed and open to all.

English Martyrs Independent Youth Club will be holding it’s 2010 Annual General Meeting in the Parish Room (under the Church – old nursery) on Wednesday 26th January at 7pm.

The agenda will be issued on the night but will include:

  • Election of the Chair/ Vice-Chair etc
  • Presentation of Accounts
  • A review of the constitution (copies avaiable on request)

Come along and have your say about the youth club.

We were able to get photos with the TARDIS, Daleks, the Time Vortex and the Prank Patrol Van! We were able to become news readers and contestants on the Weakest Link! We found out how the BBC got the shows from the mind of a writer to our TV screen at home!

We are offering the chance for your son or daughter to go on our second trip of the year to Howletts Zoo on Saturday 10th July. The trips costs £15 and includes a coach from youth club to the zoo and back!
